What file formats does Miris support?

OpenUSD (Open Universal Scene Description). If you're exporting from Blender, Maya, Houdini, or other DCCs you can export to OpenUSD. We provide export guides to help you export the highest-fidelity content.

How long does processing take?

Preview generation is automatic and takes under a minute. High-fidelity processing typically takes 30 minutes to 3 hours depending on asset complexity. You'll receive an email when it's ready — you don't need to keep the browser open.

Why did my asset fail to process?

Processing failures are usually caused by unsupported materials, missing textures, or external file references. Check that your USD file uses USD Preview Surface or MaterialX materials, all textures are included in the same folder, and all file paths are relative. Export guides for Blender, Maya, and Houdini cover the most common causes.

Can I re-upload an asset if something went wrong?

Yes. If an asset fails processing, delete it from your asset library and upload a corrected version. Credits are not used for failed processing, only successful high-fidelity jobs consume a credit.

What are the beta limits?

During public beta: unlimited uploads, 5 high-fidelity processing credits per month, 1000 views per account per month before watermarking, and 10GB maximum file size per asset.

What counts as a view toward my 1,000 limit?

Each time an asset is loaded and streamed counts as one view. Views are tracked per account and reset on the 1st of each month. When you reach 1,000 views, a watermark is applied to all streams automatically. You'll receive a warning in the console before you hit the limit.

Does the viewer work on tablet or mobile devices?

Yes. The Miris viewer adapts to any device — desktop, tablet, mobile, and XR headsets. Quality adjusts automatically.

How is Miris different from traditional 3D delivery?

Traditional delivery sends a complete file before anything renders. Miris streams 3D data — geometry, materials, and lighting — progressively. Your device renders locally; our CDN delivers globally.

Yes. Our Web SDK supports React, Vue, and vanilla JavaScript and is available now. iOS, Android, and Unity SDKs are in development and will be available post-beta.

What's the difference between a viewer key and an API key?

Viewer keys are public-facing and safe to include in frontend code and used to stream assets in your app. API keys are private and used for server-side operations. Never expose your API key in client-side code.

How is this different from glTF/glb hosting?

glTF files are downloaded entirely before rendering. Miris streams 3D data progressively — content appears immediately and improves in quality as more data arrives. Quality adapts per device and network automatically.

What happens after beta?

Pricing and tier details will be announced before general availability. Beta participants receive priority access and advance notice. Your assets and account carry over automatically.
