Streamable asset

What is a streamable asset?

A streamable asset is a 3D model that has been processed into a format optimized for progressive delivery over a network, so it can be viewed in a browser or app without downloading the whole file first. Instead of shipping one large model, the asset is broken into spatially and visually prioritized pieces that load on demand as the viewer interacts.

On Miris, uploading a source model — typically OpenUSD — creates a streamable asset through a processing job. The result streams adaptively to phones, tablets, and headsets at full fidelity, with no plugins or platform-specific builds.
